It is important to work with your child to help establish an appropriate pace. Part of the benefit of interactive learning games is that parents can monitor their child has progress and see how well things are going. You may find yourself pleasantly surprised at how much your kindergarten learns in a short period of time. Though kindergarten math can not be taught through learning games alone, interactive digital activities provide a good supplement to traditional education. When kids continue to practice what they have learned and become more comfortable with it outside the classroom, they are bound to do better as they progress through school. Learning games also give you an opportunity to work with your child at home, helping to boost his or her grasp of basic kindergarten math concepts. The use of digital learning games to teach kindergarten math is by no means a stand-in for traditional education. However, when kids are presented with a fun, interactive learning environment in their own homes, they can build skills and get a deeper understanding of the concepts that will lead to better classroom performance and a more positive school experience.
Everyone with little kids has paintings and worksheets on their refrigerator. How about planning a simple craft project with your child? Look for large plastic clips, preferably with magnets on the back, and using either a colorful permanent marker or a paint pen, write your child has name on the front of the clip. If you need to add a magnet to the back, you can find different size magnet strips or discs with adhesive on the back in most craft stores. Kid has bedroom doors are a great place to display their art work. Rather than just taping the paper to the door, make a banner and hang it up. Your child can help you attach yarn to a dowel rod (about a foot long) and then tape their current art work to the dowel. However you choose to display your child has art work, always praise your child and truly admire their work. Take pictures of the displays themselves, and as you replace each piece of art, remember to save some for scrap booking memories. Years from now, as you look back you will have sweet memories of your child through their art.
Color is a vital part of creative expression, and while it is important that your child learn that the sky is blue and grass is green, it is also important that they be allowed to experiment with color. Mixing paints and having free rein to color a picture any way they want to, allows children to express themselves creatively, so do not always insist that they use color accurately. Start teaching your child about color as early as possible. By the age of four years, your child should recognize and be able to name around ten different colors. Reinforce what they learn by playing games using color. Preschool printable worksheets will give your child the opportunity to put their learning into practice in a variety of ways.
